Looking to History to Understand the World Today
Ted Conrod, President at Focus, recently hosted an exciting evening with one of Canada’s preeminent historians and an acclaimed author, Margaret MacMillan. Unquestionably, with conflicts raging in Europe and the Middle East and 70 nations (representing over half the global population) set to hold elections, 2024 promises to be a year of heightened geopolitical tension. In front of over 100 guests at the Four Seasons Hotel, Margaret captivated the audience with her thoughtful insights on geopolitical issues across the globe, and how lessons from history can be used to prepare for the future.
